• Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado (the World Capital of Biodiversity), you will be met by your guide at the airport who will take you to the main port.
• The boat trip on the Tambopata River will last approximately two hours with lunch served on board. A cocktail reception will welcome you to Cayman Lodge Amazonie.
• Short visit of the lodges and accommodation will soon follow.
• At the end of the afternoon, we’ll have for an excursion to discover nocturnal wildlife and hear sounds of the jungle in the rainforest.

Days 2

• After an early breakfast, we’ll go on an excursion within the jungle to discover medicinal plants and you may have the opportunity to observe different kinds of monkeys (squirrel monkeys, saddleback tamarins, dusky titi monkey, brown capuchin monkeys, red howler monkey), mammals and birds.
• At the end of the morning, we’ll head to Chuncho clay lick with lunch on board. We’ll arrive after a 3 hour boat trip on the Tambopata River.
• On your arrival, we’ll go on an excursion to explore. You will spend the night at a camp site especially equipped for the occasion.

Days 3

• We’ll wake up at dawn to see the sunrise before observing a wide variety of macaws, aras and parrots. You’ll get to see a nature show which we’re sure will amaze. Macaws and parrots go to the clay lick to find the minerals and salts they need to neutralize the toxins they have ingested eating seeds or green fruits.
• Breakfast will then be served; at the end of the morning we’ll go down stream and stop at the “Cascada el Gato”. It is a small and beautiful waterfall where we’ll have lunch and you can take the opportunity to enjoy a swim if you wish to.
• In the middle of the afternoon, we’ll return to Cayman Lodge Amazonie where you’ll have the opportunity to relax in the hammocks facing the Tambopata River and enjoy the sunset.
• Before dinner, we’ll have a boat ride to observe caymans and capybaras along the banks of the river.

Days 4

• After an early breakfast you’ll leave Cayman Lodge Amazonie to get your plane at Puerto Maldonado airport. Pay close attention to the fauna and the flora. This time of the day is particularly good to see animals waking up, in particular the howler monkeys.
